Oranges, grated coconut, and cherries; ambrosia was a dessert salad my mom made that I loved as a child. Ambrosia is the name I gave my pet Indian ringneck parakeet. I enjoyed having her for 9 years before she flew away because I hadn't kept her wings clipped and had her outside with me. That was the summer I let my husband fly away as well. He came back, tho'.
...He flew away forever last year.
